Getting Started on the Talview Assessment App
Step 1: Download the Application
Search for the 'Talview Candidate App' in the PlayStore. The application looks like this:
Install the app and wait for the download to complete
Step 2: Launch the Application
Once the app is downloaded, open the application. A screen like the one shown below will appear
The Practice Interview
Step 1: Launching the Practice Test
It is always advised to first complete a Practice Assessment before taking up the actual assessment.
When you click on the Practice Assessment option, the below screen opens:
Step 2: Grant Permissions
The app needs to test your hardware. Please allow all the 'permission requests' that appear on the screen.
Step 3: Test your Camera
The Application will test your mobile’s camera. Select on the ‘Test Camera Option’ shown on the screen below:
The system will detect your face and once detected, it will proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Test your Microphone
The application will test your mobile’s microphone.
You will be required to speak at this time.
Step 5: Playback
You can view a playback by selecting the ‘Playback’ option.
If you are happy with the audio and the video you can proceed by selecting the ‘Start Assessment’ option to begin your practice test.
Taking An Assessment On Talview
Step 1: Launch the Application.
Once the Download is completed you can Launch/Open the Application and you will observe the screen as shown below :
Step 2: Scan the QR code
Click on the 'SCAN QR CODE' Option and scan the QR code.
After the QR code is detected, click on ‘VERIFY’ to proceed.
Step 3: Registration
You will have to Enter the details requested for in the Registration Page to proceed as shown below and click on the green ‘SUBMIT’ button :
Step 4: Basic Instructions
Read the Basic Instructions carefully as shown in the screen below
After reading the instructions, select ‘Agree to Terms and Conditions’ to start the test
Step 5: Hardware Test - Test your Camera
The application will test your mobile's camera. Tap on the 'Test Camera' button shown on the screen below:
The system will detect your face and once detected, will proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Test your Microphone
The application will test your mobile’s microphone.
You will be required to speak at this time.
Step 7: Playback
You can view a playback by selecting the ‘Playback’ option.
If you are happy with the audio and the video you can proceed by selecting the ‘Start Assessment’ option to begin your assessment.
Essay Section:
Step 1: Basic Information
This is the section in which the questions will be displayed.
Step 2: Reading the Question
The question appears in the grey bar. Below is an image sample for your reference
If you would like to minimise the question bar once you have read the question, you can tap on the grey bar and the question will be minimised, so you can write your answer
Step 3: Writing an Answer
You can start writing an answer once the timer has started.
The timer for your question will be shown in the top-right corner of your screen as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 4: Submitting an Answer
Once you write an answer tap on the ‘Upload’ button.
You will see a pop-up (as shown in the screenshot below), asking you to confirm if you want to upload your response and continue to the next question. Tap on ‘Yes’ to continue or ‘No’ to make further changes
The same process would repeat for all the questions in the section, until you reach the last section.
Once all the questions in the section have been answered you will be taken to the completion screen, shown below.
Assessment Completion :
Once you have completed all the sections in your assessment, you will be shown the below screen. You can tap on the 'Check Submission Status'. This will tell you if your answers have been uploaded.
If all your answers have been submitted successfully, you will be shown the below completion message and can tap on 'Exit' to safely close the application.
In case some of your answers are being submitted, you can see the progress of the same in your mobile progress bar as shown in the screen below. Please stay connected to the internet during this time and allow all the answers to upload successfully before you close the application.
Please note, if you fail to do so, your answers will not be uploaded.
List of Unsupported Modules On the Mobile Application
There are some modules which are NOT SUPPORTED on Talview’s mobile application of because of the nature of the assessments and their requirements.
Coding Assessment Module.
Virtual Machine (VM) Assessments.
Versant English Assessment.
If you are trying to access an assessment module which is not supported on the mobile application platform, you will get the below message.
You can try and access these modules from your laptop or desktop by using the same link and verification code from your email.
