This solution article provides step-by-step instructions on how to effectively attend an automated asynchronous video interview using the Talview mobile app. By following these guidelines, you can seamlessly navigate the interview process and showcase your skills and qualifications to prospective employers.

Step 1: Downloading and Installing the Talview Mobile App

  1. Visit your device's application store (Google Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS).

  2. Search for the Talview mobile app.

  3. Download and install the app on your mobile device.

Step 2: Logging in to the Talview Mobile App

  1. Open the Talview app on your mobile device.

  2. Enter your unique verification code in the corresponding field.

  3. Carefully input the required information, ensuring correct capitalization and any special characters. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code provided in the email.

  4. The app requires access to test your hardware. Please grant all the 'permission requests' that appear on your screen.

Step 3: Testing Your Camera.

The Application will assess your mobile's camera. Select the 'Test Camera Option' displayed on the screen. The system will detect your face and once recognized, it will proceed to the next step else you will have to redo the same process until your face gets detected.

Step 4: Testing Your Microphone 

The application will evaluate your mobile's microphone. You will be prompted to speak at this stage. Make sure you read the texts shown on the screen clearly.

Step 5: Playback To review your recording.

Select the 'Playback' option. If you are satisfied with the audio and video, proceed by selecting the 'Start Assessment' option to begin your test.

Step 6: Reading the Question

Once the assessment starts the questions will appear one after the other on the screen and must be answered accordingly. Tap on the grey bar if your questions are not visible.

The audio and video recorded in this section will be evaluated. Once the recording begins, you can start recording your response. The timer for the current question is displayed in the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 7: Submitting Your Answer

After answering the question, tap the 'Submit' button at the bottom of your mobile screen to upload your response. A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation to upload your response and continue to the next question. Tap 'Yes' to upload and proceed.

The same process repeats for all the questions in the section until you reach the last section.

Step 8: Assessment Completion

    Once you have completed all the sections in your assessment, tap "Check Submission Status" to verify if your answers have been uploaded. If all your answers have been successfully submitted, a completion message will be shown. Tap "Exit" to safely close the application.

    If some of your answers are still being submitted, you can track the progress using the mobile progress bar. Please stay connected to the internet during this time and ensure all answers are uploaded successfully before closing the application.
