Browser-Specific Instructions
Find the section for your browser (Preferred: Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) and follow only those steps. This ensures accurate adjustments.
Step 1: Managing Camera Permissions
For Google Chrome:
Open Chrome and go to the assessment page.
Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Click on Privacy and security.
Click on Site settings.
Scroll down and click on Camera.
Choose your camera device from the dropdown (if applicable).
Make sure Ask before accessing is enabled or set the camera permission to Allow for the assessment site by adding its URL.
For Microsoft Edge:
Open Edge and go to the assessment page.
Click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Click on Cookies and site permissions.
Scroll down and click on Camera.
Choose your camera device from the dropdown (if applicable).
Ensure Ask before accessing is enabled or set the camera permission to Allow for the assessment site by adding its URL.
For Mozilla Firefox:
Open Firefox and go to the assessment page.
Click the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.
Select Settings.
Click on Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the Permissions section.
Click on Settings… next to Camera.
Find the website you want to allow.
Check the box to allow camera access or add the website if it’s not listed.
Click Save Changes.
Step 2: Testing Camera Access
Visit the assessment link or the application requiring camera access.
When prompted, click Allow to grant camera access.
Step 3: Camera Test
Position your camera so your full face is clearly visible in the preview.
Ensure adequate lighting in the room for optimal video quality.
If an external webcam is not automatically detected, use the Select Camera dropdown to manually choose your camera.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Camera Not Detected: Ensure your camera is properly connected and no other applications are using it.
Permissions Not Working: Revisit and follow all steps carefully.
