A Secure Browser ensures the integrity and security of online test by creating a restricted testing environment. It prevents unauthorized activities, such as accessing other tabs or applications during the test, ensuring a fair and seamless experience.
Note: To ensure a Smooth test and to avoid last-minute issues, please make sure that all prerequisites are met before starting your test. You can start by checking your system readiness using the Prerequisites check. This will ensure your system meets all the requirements.
Requirements
Before you start, make sure your device meets these basic requirements:
Operating System: Your device should be running either Windows 10 & 11 - macOS 12.6.7 and above
- Storage Space: Make sure you have at least 2 GB of free space on your device.
1. Download and Install the Secure Browser
Candidates can download the Talview Secure Browser using either of the following methods:
Option A: Download from Test Link:
Click on your test link to access the Talview Secure Browser download page, then select “Download from Windows Store.”
Option B: Download Directly:
Visit https://pages.talview.com/securebrowser/ to download the Secure Browser before your exam.

Step 2: Downloading and Installing the Secure Browser from the Windows Store
Access Windows Store:
On the Windows Store page, click the “Download” button to begin downloading the Secure Browser. This page also displays system requirements and other important information.

Locate the Installer:
Find the Talview Secure Browser installer file in your Downloads folder. Double-click the file to launch the installer.

Complete Installation:
Allow the installation process to complete. Do not interrupt this process.

Verify Installation:
Once the installation is complete, the Talview Secure Browser will automatically open. You can close it by clicking the “X” button in the top-right corner.

Step 3: Launch assessment
Open the assessment link you received in your email.
When prompted, open the assessment in the Secure Browser. Make sure you have your login details (username, password, and verification code) ready because you can’t open other tabs or windows once the Secure Browser is open.
2. How to Exit the Secure Browser After Your Test
Windows:
After submitting your test, click the ‘Quit’ button (it looks like the Windows power button) in the bottom right corner, or press Ctrl + Q to exit the Secure Browser.- macOS:
After submitting your test, press Command (⌘) + Q to exit the Secure Browser.
If you run into any issues and need to close the Secure Browser, you can reopen the test using the same code you received in the email.
3. How to Uninstall Talview Secure Browser
For Windows:
Method 1: Using the Downloads folder
Open File Explorer and go to your Downloads folder.
Look for the file named “TalviewSecureBrowser Installer.”
Right-click the file and select Delete.
Confirm deletion to remove the installer from your device.
⚠️ This only removes the installer file. If the browser is already installed, use Method 2.
Method 2: Using Control Panel
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type control, and press Enter.
Go to Programs → Programs and Features.
Scroll through the list to find Talview Secure Browser.
Right-click on it and select Uninstall.
For MAC OS
Method 1: Using Applications folder
Open Finder and go to the Applications folder.
Locate Talview Secure Browser.
Drag the app to the Trash.
Right-click on Trash and select Empty Trash.
Method 2: Using Finder search (if app not in Applications)
Open Finder → Go → Go to Folder.
Type ~/Downloads or ~/Applications and press Enter.
Search for Talview Secure Browser.
Drag any found app or installer to Trash and empty it.
Tip:
Close all other apps before starting the test in the Secure Browser for the best experience.
